Where it started
FINAIW was born from a simple realisation: financial jargon and hidden fees make it hard for ordinary people to take control of their money. We saw friends, family, and colleagues struggling to understand loans, investments, and retirement planning — not because they weren't smart, but because the system felt designed to confuse.
So we decided to build something different. FINAIW is a space where complex financial concepts become clear, where tools are genuinely helpful, and where everyone — regardless of background or location — can find a path to financial confidence.
Who is behind FINAIW
FINAIW is run by a small team of three, based in Mumbai, India.
Nishit B (MBA in Finance) is a co-founder. He works as a Financial Crime Risk Analyst at an MNC and came up with the idea for FINAIW, and he continues to shape its vision. He reviews the site's financial content, formulas and calculator logic, and helps write and edit lessons before anything is published.
Harsh S (B.E. in Information Technology) is also a co-founder. He builds and maintains the tools, checks that the calculations behave correctly, and reviews the site every day.
Shilp G (MBA in Finance, M.Com) works as an ESG Data Analyst at an MNC and is FINAIW's in-house business consultant. He helps with marketing and feedback, keeps track of how the site is doing, and checks the formulas and figures for accuracy.

How we build and check the numbers
Every calculator uses a standard, published formula, and the formula is written out on the page — for example the reducing-balance formula for loan EMIs, and the compound-growth formulas behind fixed deposits and CAGR. The worked examples in our text are calculated with the same formulas as the tools, so the figures you read match what the calculator shows.
Assumptions such as returns, inflation and interest rates are inputs you can change, and our pages say where the defaults come from. Where a tool relies on fixed reference data, we name it: the Global Net Worth Percentile, for instance, is an estimate based on the UBS Global Wealth Report 2026 and uses approximate exchange rates, and it says so.
Harsh reviews the site every day for how the tools behave, Nishit B reviews new financial content, formulas and calculator logic before it's published, and Shilp G also checks formulas and figures for accuracy. We correct mistakes when we find them or when a reader reports one. If you spot an error, tell us on the contact page.
Independence
FINAIW does not sell financial products, run affiliate programmes or take commissions, and no company pays to appear in our tools or lessons. The site may show advertising served by Google; ads do not influence what we write or how a calculator works.
